charro pantleg
An inspiration for the theme of my CQ block. Really. I googled to find the picture which I remembered from an article about Mexican silver in the National Button Society's quarterly

Fiesta! Almost finished
This is the block as embellished by participants of a Southwestern round robin. I will probably add afew finishing touches of my own -- one of these days.
Prior to the round robin, we had a Southwestern swap from which I received the pretty beaded choker that covers the seam below the N section.

Winter Greys
This piece was done for a seasonal challenge. It includes crochet, knitting, surface embroidery and beading. The beads at the bottom read from L > R: gray days; winter; old snow; black ice; sleet; brr. I was thinking the reality of our winters in terms of gray, taupes and tans. My challenge was to find beauty in the bleak. You can see more of the challenge atcommunity.webshots.com/album/515327524tJpVPE
